Latest Teycars buggies accelerate green credentials of top Majorcan venue

Club de Golf Alcanada is introducing a new fleet of 42 electric golf buggies, accelerating its commitment to sustainability while further elevating the premium golf experience at the Mallorcan venue.

The new buggy fleet, supplied by electric mobility experts Teycars, delivers improved sustainability, reliability, comfort and intuitive handling throughout the course at Alcanada. With more than 20 years of experience, the Catalan-based company provides electric vehicle solutions for resorts, airports, golf courses and industrial sectors, among others.

Sustainability sits at the heart of Club de Golf Alcanada’s ethos, with the club focused on creating a positive impact on the natural environment while reducing negative effects. Recent initiatives include working with local ornithologists to attract insect-eating birds as an eco-friendly method of tackling the pine-eating Pine Processionary moth. Last year also marked five years of beekeeping on the grounds, while bat boxes have been introduced to support research into local bat activity.

By upgrading their current electric fleet with the Teycars electric vehicles powered by lithium-ion batteries, Club de Golf Alcanada are taking another step forward in this sustainability journey.

“Investing in the very best for our visitors is central to the Alcanada experience,” said Kristoff Both, Director at Club de Golf Alcanada. “Our new Teycars fleet not only offers superior comfort and performance, but also reinforces our commitment to sustainability, innovation and service excellence. We’re confident that players, whether visiting from the UK, Spain or beyond, will appreciate the difference these buggies make to their day on the course.”

Club de Golf Alcanada opened in 2003 and has established itself as one of Spain’s most popular golf courses over the past two decades. Designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jnr, it is the only course on the island situated directly beside the sea.

The club is particularly well known to UK golfers as a regular host of the Rolex Grand Final, the concluding event on the HotelPlanner Tour.
Alcanada continues to set the standard for golf in the Mediterranean, with the introduction of the Teycars fleet marking another step in its evolution as a world-class golf destination.
