“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”. This proverb perfectly sums up the history of Club de Golf Alcanada, a place which started with a dream…the dream of the owner, Hans-Peter Porsche.
Hans-Peter Porsche contracted the world-famous golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones Jr., asking him to blend the course into the natural terrain to maintain the typical Majorcan landscape.

Englishman Jack Hiluta won the competition in the final matchplay against Marcel Schneider, beating the German 4 to 3. Basque player (and former World #1) Jon Rahm was eliminated in the quarter final. During the same tournament, Frenchman Romain Langasque – now a European Tour player – shot the course record of 64, which still stands today..
Since 2012, Alcanada has been a member of “World of Leading Golf”, a group of high end and top golf courses around the world. In order to ensure the expectation of high standards for quality and service of the associated golf courses, Club de Golf Alcanada is audited several times a year by “mystery” guests.
