In 2010, the course was certified for the first time with the quality seal for Spanish golf courses UNE188.001. Since then, the certification has been renewed each year. On an annual basis, Club de Golf Alcanada is assessed with regards to quality, service and sustainability. For many years this assessment was carried out by TÜV Rheinland and, in recent years, by Spanish certification company AENOR.
World of
leading golf
Since 2012, Club de Golf Alcanada is member of the “World of Leading Golf”, an international association of quality, dedicated to the support, development and quality assurance of some of the world’s foremost golf clubs and destinations.
59club
In the course of the year, Club de Golf Alcanada gets regular visits from Club59, carrying out independent and anonymous tests of the golf course and its facilities.
The testers visit and play the course and respond to more than 200 questions which are then shared with the course management to help to further improve every aspect of the club. Club59 retains more than 600 client golf courses around the world including prestigious venues such as Gleneagles, The Belfry, Portmarnock, TPC Sawgrass, Le Golf National, Terre Blanche etc.
During the annual “Club59 award ceremony”, Alcanada has received the highest recognition, the “Golden Flag”, five times in the past five years; 2019 – 2023
Worldclass.Golf
Since 2020, Club de Golf Alcanada is part of Worldclass.Golf – a group of top courses with a unique focus on quality and service. Among the 33 courses that take part in this initiative are Valderrama, La Reserva, Monte Rei, The Scandinavian and Costa Navarino.
Essentially
Mallorca
Since 2016 Club de Golf Alcanada has formed part of the luxury collection “Essentially Mallorca”. The goal of this association is to promote Mallorca as a luxury destination. In addition to golf courses this group includes 5-star hotels, as well as boutique and finca hotels, fine dining, transportation, experiences, marinas etc.
