At Alcanada Golf Club, we’re already immersed in preparations for one of the most anticipated moments of the year: The HotelPlanner Tour’s Rolex Grand Final.

Our goal is clear: to present the course in demanding conditions, worthy of a top-level competition, and to make every detail shine.

During these weeks, we will work to achieve:

• Firm and fast greens, ready for the challenge
• Penalizing and uniform rough, with three cutting heights for the final (30 mm, 64 mm, and 90 mm)
• Solid and perfectly level tees
• Impeccable bunkers, with revised and renewed sand
• Better visibility in key areas, thanks to selective pruning of branches and bushes

We know that the height and consistency of the rough cannot be achieved in a few days, which is why we have already begun the gradual cutting process.

To achieve this, we ask for your cooperation: avoid driving off the fairways whenever possible. The daily use of buggies can affect the turf, and your help will make all the difference in keeping the course in perfect condition.

The tees and greens receive weekly treatment and topdressing to ensure maximum firmness, although in summer, maintaining the right moisture content is an art. Every bit of care counts to ensure the course looks its best in the Grand Final.

Thank you for being part of this process and for helping us get our course ready to welcome the best.

The countdown has begun!
