When it comes to improving our golf, we can learn some tricks and other techniques that not only make this sport dynamic and entertaining, but will also help us stop playing amateurishly and master techniques that will allow us to reach the golf holes and that gives us an easier way to get out of some tricky situations more easily.

There are factors that influence when obtaining final results such as the wind that blows, the way in which we manage key moments and tension or the tools that are available to be able to make more versatile plays. Of course, these are the keys that depend on us. But there will be days when time will play against us and we will have to learn to manage what we have learned, and then adapt them to the plays we want to carry out.

One of those very useful and easy-to-use tools is knowing how to hit low balls. A priori it seems somewhat complicated, but with some simple tricks to put into practice it is only a matter of time. And you have to understand that not everyone plays golf professionally and still want to improve and learn the ins and outs of this sport.

How can I achieve a low ball trajectory?

In order to hit the lowest ball, we must follow four simple instructions that will make our work much easier.

  • Grab the club a little shorter. With this tool we will reduce the arc of the swing and also the impact on the ball.
  • Place the ball slightly towards the right foot. With this simple trick, we will make sure that the club arrives at a perfect angle.
  • Rhythm. This is very important! Almost fundamental, we could say. Sometimes we will play with too much wind or a wind that is not favourable. That will influence the distance the ball will travel, therefore, we will have to learn to know when to hit harder and when softer. This, combined with the previous two, will guarantee you to get a low ball into the nearest hole.
  • Reduce tension. If in a moment of pressure, you cannot concentrate on what you are doing, you are likely to fail. For this, learn to manage your emotions when you are on the course and visualize the goal, in this case the hole, and thus you will achieve optimal results. If you hit the ball believing that you will not succeed, it is likely that you will.

It may also help to place your hands a little lower on the club and lock your wrists. Reduce your swing to seventy percent, or try different clubs. If it is very windy, it is preferable to play with an iron than with a wooden one, and thus avoid that the wind deflects the ball to where we do not want or gets lost in its path. Choose from the fourteen clubs available which one best suits each situation and make the necessary blow at all times.
