Mallorca venue to host HotelPlanner Tour season-ending showpiece for fifth year in a row as Road to Mallorca reaches dramatic conclusion

Club de Golf Alcanada will welcome the 2026 Rolex Grand Final supported by the R&A for a fifth consecutive year — and sixth overall — when the acclaimed Mallorca course once again stages the prestigious season finale to the HotelPlanner Tour.

With the season in full swing, momentum is already building on the Road to Mallorca – which comprises 28 tournaments across 19 countries and three continents – as the next generation of golfing talent battle to qualify for the season-ending finale. Only the top 45-ranked players will earn a place in the field and the opportunity to challenge for one of the 15 career-defining DP World Tour cards on offer at Club de Golf Alcanada from October 29 to November 1.

First hosting the Grand Final in 2019, Alcanada has since become synonymous with the drama and intensity of the season finale, welcoming the event every year since 2022. Each recent winner has graduated to compete on the DP World Tour, underlining both the strength of the field and the significance of the occasion.

Last year, James Morrison sealed a fairytale return to the DP World Tour after securing victory at Club de Golf Alcanada, while JC Ritchie topped the Road to Mallorca Rankings.

Previous winners also include 2023 champion Marco Penge, who last year went on to win the Seve Ballesteros Award as the Player of the Year for 2025 after a brilliant campaign that saw him win three DP World Tour titles and finish second to Rory McIlroy on the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr, Alcanada’s par-72 layout provides a stern and spectacular examination in tournament conditions. Mallorca’s only true coastal course, the layout slopes toward the Mediterranean Sea and iconic Alcanada lighthouse, offering both breathtaking views and one of the most exacting tests on the schedule. Fast greens, strategic bunkering and exposed coastal winds ensure that only the most complete performers thrive under pressure.

Kristoff Both, director of golf at Club de Golf Alcanada, said: “It is a tremendous honour for Alcanada to host the Rolex Grand Final for the sixth time and for the fifth year in a row. The tournament has become a central part of our identity, and we are incredibly proud to provide the stage where so many talented players take the next step in their careers.

“The drama of the Road to Mallorca always delivers an unforgettable week of golf. With 15 DP World Tour cards at stake, the intensity is unmatched, and our course is perfectly suited to reward those who rise to the occasion.”

Since opening in 2003, Club de Golf Alcanada has established itself as one of Spain’s premier golfing destinations. Alongside its championship pedigree, the venue remains one of the Mediterranean’s most sought-after courses for members and visiting golfers alike.

The 2026 Rolex Grand Final promises another compelling conclusion to the Road to Mallorca, as the next generation of DP World Tour stars battle for their place among golf’s elite on Mallorca’s shores.
